As the Director of the Larry F. Grand Mycological Herbarium, my work is deeply integrated with the herbarium’s activities. Located in the Department of Plant Pathology at North Carolina State University, the herbarium is a key resource for fungal research and conservation, occupying 563 square feet in 3419 Gardner Hall. It houses collections in thirteen organized cabinets, with expansion plans underway. The herbarium is dedicated to preserving fungal diversity, significantly contributing to the fields of fungal ecology, taxonomy, and evolution.  For more information, please visit our website HERE!
